Source model text: Frigidaire 24" Front Control Built-In Tall Tub Dis. Incident: Product Information: Manufacturer: Frigidaire / Electrolux Model Number: FFCD2413US8BAge of Product: 4 Months Old (Installed in a newly constructed Smith Douglas home)Service Ticket Number: [REDACTED] Description of Hazard: During a standard washing cycle, the dishwasher's internal spray arm detached from its assembly and fell directly onto the exposed electrical heating element at the bottom of the tub. The plastic spray arm immediately melted, fusing tightly onto the heating element and the bottom liner of the appliance. This failure caused an immediate toxic smoke hazard, filling the kitchen and home with heavy plastic fumes, and presenting an active structural fire risk. An authorized manufacturer technician ([REDACTED]) inspected the unit and explicitly deemed it unrepairable due to the extensive thermal damage and fused plastic pieces attached permanently to the bottom of the machine. The manufacturer has been notified via service ticket [REDACTED] but has failed to remediate this safety hazard or issue a product buyout after more than two weeks. Because this represents a severe manufacturing or design defect where a component can detach mid-wash and make direct contact with a high-heat element, this model poses an unmitigated fire and smoke hazard to consumers.

Incident: On Sunday, May 15 at approximately 5:00 pm, we used our Frigidaire Dryer Model Number (FAQG7077KA0) Serial Number (4D02300523) and it caught on fire. There was minimal clothes inside the dryer. Dryer lint vent was cleaned before usage. Sparks were seen inside the dryer, then dryer inside caught on fire. The dryer was disconnected, and pulled out of the house, to be hosed down in the backyard to diminish the fire. Luckily, due to the fast action of removing the dryer, there was no one hurt or there was no damage done onto the house. I first called my homeowners insurance company, [REDACTED], to file a claim. Emailed pictures of the melted dryer, model number & serial number sticker, and cleared outbound vent holes. On Tuesday, May 19 morning, I called Electrolux/Frigidaire Customer Service phone line 1-800-374-4432. I explained to the customer support specialist that our dryer caught on fire. They recorded the case and re-routed to Risk Management. They explained Risk Management would call me the next day. On Wednesday, May 20 at 10:53 am, Risk Management technician [REDACTED] called me from [REDACTED]. She asked me details of the incident. And after listening, explained no help can be provided if there was no was bodily injury or property damage. She further directed that I would need to call the customer engagement line to get support. SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20260921-AC9A1-2147309437. Severity: Injury, No First Aid or Medical Attention Received. Product: Frigidaire Model Number FCRG3052BS (Frigidaire free standing gas range Model Number: FCRG3052BS Serial Number: VF60757413). Incident: Frigidaire Model Number: FCRG3052BS Serial Number: VF60757413. Installed by Home Depot contracted installer Aug 4, 2026. I set oven to 400 and placed cast iron pot with vegetables in the oven to steam for an hour. About an hour later, my separate plug in co2/gas alarm activated with number 218 and "Gas" flashing. I turned oven off and tryed to turn off alarm. It zero-ed out, then went off again. Then a third time. I called 911. Fire Dept came out and detected high levels of gas throughout the house (small house). They turned off the valve at the back of the range. Opened windows and doors and turned on fans. About an hour or more later, gas level reading was at 1. Said it was safe to stay but to not use range (keep valve off). When they left, I lifted lid on vegetables. They had not cooked through after an hour in what was supposed to be a 400 degree oven. Also, back right burner is loud and forceful, like a torch.
