Buick Enclave 2020

The mounting bracket on the front exhaust pipe separates from the pipe. This issue has been identified on 2019 and 2021 models and special coverage adjustment N212356540 Front Exhaust Pipe has been issued. The same exact defect has occured to my 2020 model Enclave.

Front exhaust bracket detached from exhaust. An issue that has resulted in a hole in my exhaust. This same issue has been identified and warranty extended for 2019 and 2021 enclaves with the same engine and exhaust parts. Dealership wants to change $1000 to fix the issue.

Factory running boards on 2020 Buick Enclave ice up in winter driving blocking the driver and passenger doors from opening. Vehicle can be parked and if ice accumulates or snow melts and freezes the door will not open. If vehicle is in motion and ice/slush build up and freeze the doors will not open.

The mounting bracket welded to the front exhaust pipe (near the flex section) broke off due to weak factory welds. As a result tearing a hole in my exhaust pipe and potentially leading to exhaust fumes leaking into the cabin of the vehicle. In my opinion this defect should be addressed as a safety issue if not repaired.

2020 Buick Enclave mounting bracket separated from the front exhaust pipe which caused a hole to appear in the exhaust pipe. This is a known issue for 2019, 2021, and 2022 Buick Enclaves. No warning light The exhaust fumes along with Carbon Monoxide were coming through my ac vents for several months. There is no indication on when the mounting bracket separated.

Bracket holding exhaust pipes broke and I'm told it is a hazard. It is over $400 to fix it, I paid almost $6,000 for warranty service contract when I bought my car which doesn't cover it. It looks like this same problem is listed for 2019 but not 2020 which would have covered it if you would list it as a problem for 2020 also. [XXX} Please review and hopefully others have let you know also. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The front exhaust pipe bracket has broken. Upon investigation, this is an ongoing issue for 2018-2019, and 2021-2023 Chevy Traverse and Buick Enclave models, but NOT 2020. All of the models use the exhaust system and same bracket, and it should be included as a special coverage. In fact, the attached picture of my vehicle will show that it is an identical break to those pictures used in the previous bulletins. Any help is appreciated. Reference: N252503850, N242445280, N222385510, N212356540, and photo attached.

The vehicle's exhaust intermediate pipe mount has broken has caused damage in the intermediate pipe requiring both the be replaced. The cracked exhaust allows exhaust fumes to enter the passenger compartment. A recall (N222385510) for 2021 Chevrolet Traverse has been made however is addressing this on only the 2021 models, even though the same issue is applicable to other models. On the this forum, there are several complaints of this design flaw reported. https://gmauthority.com/blog/2023/06/gm-to-fix-2021-chevy-traverse-front-exhaust-pipe-issue/

The rear liftgate locking mechanism failed to latch causing cargo to exit the vehicle where the car behind this car smashed into the cargo causing an accident. For whatever reason the rear door will not lock at all. The fuse was perfectly fine, appears the actuator is defective. No warning was given because the rear liftgate was open and unlatched. After realizing the gate would not close it would notify it was open but the power liftgate operates just fine, and when you activate it, it will push the gate closed and not give a warning until maybe you hit a bump in the road.

After waiting at stop light with foot on the brake (auto stop not engaged) the light turned green. After releasing brake pedal and the car rolling approx 1 foot , then starting to accelerate, within 1-1/2 seconds the transmission went into park abruptly. The shift lever displayed “Park” and “Parking brake” on the DIC illuminated. This almost caused a rear end accident as it was so abrupt. If it would have happened at over 5 MPH the airbags could have gone off causing occupant(s) injury. The resolve was to apply the brake and shift into drive with no issue after that. Will contact dealer tomorrow.

My car started making a loud and rattling noise and when I had my vehicle looked at there was a huge crack in my exhaust pipe which could potentially be leaking harmful toxins in the cabin of my vehicle. I have been to so many places who say they don’t have what they need to repair this and that I need to reach out to GM. I have seen over 30 similar stories in these complaints. This is very unsafe and something needs to be done about this for the 2020 model as it has been done for others. We are afraid to even keep all the windows rolled up with our children inside for fear of carbon monoxide leaking through.

While driving my car in normal weather/temperature conditions, the driver side sunroof literally exploded. There was a very loud bang, like someone fired a gun next to my head, and initially I thought someone had shot out one of my car windows with a gun. Upon seeing it was the sunroof I then thought an object had falled through the sunroof window. However, upon inspection, the sunroof window glass was actually blown from the inside out. See attached photographs. There was no prior apparent damage/crack/chip to the sunroof glass or mechanism. There was no sudden change in weather, internal or external temperature or pressure inside the car at the time of the explosion.

The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was in the process of being repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 45,684.

After filling up fuel, vehicle runs rough, hesitates, and stalls at idle speeds. This occurs after every fill up. The check engine light comes on and states an issue with the anti-lock brake system. I’ve had the vehicle checked by Buick 5 times and they have not been able to replicate the issue, so troubleshooting stopped. I know a recall came out this July for 2019 Buick Enclaves to replace the evaporative emissions purge valve due to not fully closing. This is the issue with my 2020 Buick Enclave and is a massive safety concern as the vehicle stalls while driving at slow speeds after fill up. Most recent event occurred on October 5th. I’ve posted a picture from last year that captured the same issue.

I came to a stop in the left turn lane at an intersection with a red light with the car in drive and my foot engaged on the brake to wait for the light to turn green. The car suddenly and completely died and all power was shut down. I was not able to engage the hazards. It was dark outside and I was afraid cars behind me would hit me. It was an incredibly dangerous situation with no warning. I exited the vehicle and got to the side of the road. The police arrived and were able to push the car to the side of the road as well. I opened the hood and checked the negative battery terminal and upon pulling the lever, the power came back on. We have an appointment at a GM dealership on Monday to fix the issue to ensure we are not put at risk again.

We bought this 2020 Buick Enclave from Pinegar Chevrolet in Republic, MO from the preowned side of the dealership. When we test drove it only in the parking lot it didn't make any noises, but as soon as we drove off the lot after purchase the brakes made a noise as if the anti lock brake system was not working properly making it difficult to stop as the car should. We also was told that since this is a preowned and not a certified preowned that it was sold as is no warranty. I believe GM needs to fix this issue ASAP or the dealership needs to either buy the car back or put us into something with a warranty that doesn't have safety issues. We bought this as our family vehicle and I don't believe it is road worthy or safe to be transporting my family in.

The contact owns a 2020 Buick Enclave C1. The contact stated that his wife reversed out of the garage however had to straighten the wheels. The contact placed the gear in the drive and without warning, the vehicle accelerated forward crashing into the garage door. No airbags deployed. Medical attention was contacted. A police report was made. The contacts wife sustained injuries to her back and neck (whiplash). The contacts wife sustained a seizure 3 additional times on the way to the hospital which she stayed at overnight. The vehicle was towed by insurance to a collision shop for repairs to the front-end bumper and grill. No dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.

The contact owns a 2020 Buick Enclave. The vehicle was reversed out of the driveway; however, after shifting into drive(D) and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle jerked, vibrated, and the check engine warning light and other unknown warning lights illuminated. After several minutes, the vehicle functioned as intended. A short distance later, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to Auto Zone, but no cause for the failure was found. The vehicle was taken to a private dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the catalytic converter was clogged, and that the electronic brake control center module and the transmission module had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Component/System Failed: Tire Sidewall (Continental CrossContact LX20 EcoPlus+, Size: 255/55R20 107H). I am reporting a potential safety defect regarding my Continental tires. While my specific mold number (S-421232) is not currently listed in NHTSA Campaign 20T018000, the tires were manufactured in the same week (DOT 0420) and show symptoms consistent with the overcuring defect described in that recall. I have observed unusual marks and [mention what you see: e.g., "cracking," "distortions," or "bubbling"] on the sidewall. These marks appeared without any impact or road hazard. Given that this specific model and production week are already associated with sudden sidewall breakage and carcass failure, I am concerned that the existing recall scope is too narrow and that my tires pose a similar risk of sudden air loss or crash.

Vehicle would not go into park fortunately we were in a safe location to avoid a possible accident or injury. The vehicle has electronic transmission shifting. According to the dealership the park solenoid in the transmission valve body failed. This prevented us from putting the vehicle in park so it could safely be shut off. We were able to set electronic parking brake but ignition continued to remain on. Eventually had to disconnect the negative battery terminal. Had vehicle towed to dealership but could not release electric park bake or start vehicle with battery terminal reconnected. This is becoming a common problem with this transmission, so common that parts are on back order. This could be a very unsafe problem with this vehicle in the right circumstance. There should be a recall on this transmit that is used on multiple GM vehicles

1st incident i was backing out of a parking spot and it went into emergency park i had to turn off the truck , turn it back on and take it out of emergency parking 2nd incident a week later i was at a stop light the truck did the automatic shut off. When you have your foot on a break , I'll let go of the break to go through the light and it went into emergency park again Engine light is on auto zone says it one of 2 different catalytic converters unsure which one would have to get them both replaced over 500 each 3rd incident auto shutdown when stopped burnt out the starter no way to turn off the auto start stop 4th incident TODAY pulling into the parking lot at the grocery store.Doing about 10 to 15 mph truck just shut off It putting it's into emergency park or shutting of while driving is a SAFETY issue but no recalls Single mother can't afford to even have it looked at right now

The vehicle developed an exhaust leak caused by both weld points on the front exhaust pipe breaking. A dealership inspected the vehicle and confirmed that the exhaust welds had failed, creating a hole in the exhaust pipe and triggering a P0420 catalyst efficiency code. The failure occurred at approximately 31,500 miles. The exhaust leak caused increased exhaust noise and emissions warning codes. The dealership recommended replacement of the front exhaust pipe assembly. This appears similar to known failures on the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse platform where the front exhaust pipe mounting bracket separates from the pipe due to weld failure. GM has issued special coverage adjustments for similar exhaust pipe bracket weld failures on other model years of these vehicles. The failure occurred at relatively low mileage and appears to be a structural weld defect in the exhaust system.

The contact owns a 2020 Buick Enclave. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle was inadvertently pulling to the left. Additionally, the vehicle made abnormally loud sounds, and unknown parts detached from the vehicle while driving. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the control arm, ball joint, and axle driveshaft needed to be replaced. Additionally, the dealer confirmed that the vehicle would be sent to the body shop for the damaged body components. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and dispatched an investigator to the dealer to inspect the vehicle; however, the manufacturer declined to disclose any information. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000. The contact stated that GM authorized the repairs for the vehicle after inspecting it. The contact is still unaware of what caused the failure.

Hello, My Enclave’s back up camera keeps going out and it’s identical to the issue that was under investigation by the NHTSA, which GM ultimately just issued a recall for the Cadillac XT5, XT6 and Acadia models. These cars are basically the short wheelbase versions of the Buick Enclave and the Chevrolet Traverse, and use the same parts for the backup 360 camera failure, so it makes sense that these vehicles would be affected as well. Attached are pictures of multiple times. This is happening which creates an unsafe environment. On the others it appears that it’s a faulty cable. If I turn the car off and let it reset, the camera will work again, but that’s not feasible when in a situation that it is needed immediately. My car is barely out of warranty, I reached out to the dealer and he agreed and it’s the same issue but because these other cars have a recall and mine, doesn’t there’s nothing he can do until a recall is issued. Thank You

Why enclave Burns about 1 to 2 quarts of oil in between oil changes so I'm constantly having to check the oil level and put more oil in it which come really close to being out of oil and causing the engine to seize Buick says this is normal and I don't think it is I have never had a car that uses oil like this new or used in addition to that the transmission is locked up twice since we have owned it and can't get it out of park can't drive it can't use it. Had to have it towed . The first time that the transmission gave issues it didn't lock up in park it locked up in drive and we couldn't put it in park I was able to get it to the dealer to get worked on it was still under warranty at that time the second time it wouldn't go out of park and could not move it it was stuck wherever we happen to be at and it would not move when they loaded it on the tow truck to tow it down to the dealer the wheels were locked up cuz it was in park and we couldn't it had to just be drug onto the truck.

I bought a 2020 Buick Enclave, (owned by GMC) with 6 miles on it, 1 week ago. Yesterday the check engine light came on and the car started jerking anytime the transmission switched gears. I called to try to get it in to a certified Buick dealership to be looked at and nowhere can get it in for 3-5 days and none of the dealerships will give a loaner car until the time of the vehicle appointment. I contacted Buick directly regarding this and they told me the same thing, that we can't get a safe driving vehicle, until the one we have can be looked at by a dealership and if we take it to an un-certified shop that it would not be covered. So now I am stuck with either driving an unsafe car 50 miles on the highway to work for the next few days or not being able to go to work. This is a brand new car driven straight out of the floor room! Buick is putting people's life at risk by insisting that we drive this unsafe vehicle on the highway until we can get it looked at! Looks like a huge lawsuit in the making!!!!! *Tr

The contact owns a 2020 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the evaporative emission system, vapor canister purge solenoid, and the control solenoid were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the vehicle was difficult to start, and the instrument cluster gauges were fluctuating. The contact stated that the failure had occurred after refueling the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure had progressively worsened. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic, where it was determined that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V639000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), and the contact was referred to the dealer for assistance. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000.

OnStar system and WiFi intermittently do not work, was told that this is a known issue when radio is being used, no fix. In my case radio was not being used, so this does not apply. Seat/mirror position memory gradually changes over time. Does not recognize that exit function has been turned off. Signal lights randomly flash (without indicator on dash flashing) when car is at idle & mirrors are folded. Tire Pressure monitoring system, not accurate and will notify driver that tires are underpressured by 10lb or more. Dealership reset them and are now fine. Brakes on passenger front randomly grind since day one of ownership Dealership told me that there is an obvious electrical issue, however since no codes are being thrown, they cannot repair it. Best that can be done is to continue to drive it and show up at a dealership when problems are occurring. OnStar diagnostics was able to determine vehicle was not connecting. Dealership indicated they'd let GM know about the issue, but nothing else could be done for what is a relatively new vehicle. Also was told they would not ensure that vehicle was not affected by structural issues because the VIN was not listed

Steering wheel repeatedly locks while turning followed by loss of power steering. Also accompanied by warning messages such as "Service ESC", "Park Assist Off", "Steering Assist is Reduced Drive with Care", as well as the stability control and stability control off lights. Began in October 2023. Brought in to dealership 4 times in 5 months (waiting on loaner availability to bring in for a 5th time) and still not repaired. Dealership unable to replicate problem but finds error codes when diagnosing. Below is a summary of each visit to "fix" the problem: Visit 1 (October 17, 2023): problem due to software out of date, reprogrammed the brake control module Visit 2 (October 30, 2023): problem due to battery low voltage, replaced battery Visit 3 (January 12, 2024): problem due to software out of date, reprogrammed power steering control module Visit 4 (February 19, 2024): problem due to short in steering rack, replaced steering rack There is no pattern to when the power steering goes out or when the wheel locks. Must constantly drive on guard to be prepared. We live in a city and drive in a lot of traffic. It is dangerous to have the wheel lock while turning, causing the car to potentially head into traffic, pedestrians, curbs, etc.

I was driving on a state highway with open fields on both sides. There were no other cars or trucks on the road. Clear blue sky and the temperature was about 50 degrees. No windows were open in the car. I was on cruise control at 62 MPH. There was what I can only describe as an explosion sound something close to the sound of a 45ACP pistol discharge.. Luckily I had the sun screen closed or I would have had glass everywhere. The front sunroof had exploded and there was a 18" hole in the middle of it. The force of the break went up, meaning the Edge of the broken glass was raised about an inch and a half above the rest of the glass and window frame. That kind of a break is caused by stress not from something like a stone hitting it.. The car was purchased in August so the car is only 4 months old. I immediately drove the car to bergstrom motors in green bay, wisconsin, for them to fix it. They took pictures. Service managers name is [xxx]. He has all the information. There is no police report. [Xxx] got back with me today, December 10, 2020, and told me Buick would not pay for the repairs because it's glass. I was told the repair would be about $1000. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (FOIA), 5 u.s.c. 552(B)(6). *Tr

Dear NHTSA Safety Team, I am submitting a formal safety complaint regarding my 2020 Buick Enclave (VIN: [XXX] ). My vehicle has experienced repeated engine shutdowns while driving, creating a serious safety hazard. Vehicle & Incident Details: * Make/Model/Year: 2020 Buick Enclave * VIN: [XXX] * Mileage: ~116,834 miles (purchased at ~62,000 miles, used) * Purchase Date: [Insert Month/Year] * Dealer: Kyle Durrence Claxton Dealership Repair History: * First repair attempt: TPMS system * Second repair attempt: Connector assembly block * Total out-of-pocket spent: $4,000+ * Despite these repairs, the vehicle continues to shut off unexpectedly while driving. Safety Impact: * Engine shuts off while the vehicle is in motion, creating a risk of collision. * Vehicle is my only mode of transportation. * Dealership has not provided a loaner vehicle. Additional Concerns: * I have discovered forged signatures on my original finance/loan paperwork from the dealership, which I previously reported to the dealership General Manager without response. Requested Action: I request that NHTSA record this safety issue, investigate the repeated engine shutdowns, and consider whether this defect warrants a recall or further manufacturer action. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My car starting making a loud noise upon start up and continued while driving, sounded like a GoCart exhaust system and was not normal. It just sounded loud and would get louder when accelerated until the car ran for awhile. I first noticed it at about 83,500 miles. I took to the dealer for checkup at 83,950 miles when I could get an appointment. The dealer (Elco Chevrolet) confirmed the problem upon hearing and looking under the car, there is a bracket broken on the exhaust system and the catalytic converter has a hole/crack in the molding. Our safety is at risk if the exhaust with the crack would create fumes harmful when driving the car and risk of injury if the exhaust would fall off upon driving due to bracket broke. There were no warning lamps or messages from the car. I am submitting this problem as upon discussion with the dealer and investigation online about this, appears that this is a problem with GM vehicles with this make and model, Enclave and Travers, however, my year was not flagged for a recall already established. When I tried to investigate with GM they stated it was because my car was not identified likely due to parts or timing. I am asking to further investigate as there may be a problem with the design of this exhaust system that caused this issue early in the mileage of this car. Asking for further investigation into the make and model of this year for the year 2020.

Bought brand new 2020 Buick Enclave, with 4 miles on it, on 6/13/20. Started having transmission problems almost immediately. The car would jerk hard (hard shift) when pushing on the gas and also anytime it was placed in park. On 6/21/20 the check engine light came on and the vehicle would barely shift. Called local Buick - GM dealership to get repaired. Local shop restarted computer on 6/24/20 and said that it was good to go. Drove it less than 3 miles before service engine light came back on and jolting started again. On the drive back to the dealership the vehicle came to a hard jolting abrupt stop on the road. Vehicle would no longer start or shift. Had to leave vehicle in the middle of the road until dealership could come get it. On 6/26/20 dealership called to say that the vehicle was running good and ready to pick up. On 6/27/20 drove car about 15 minutes before the hard shift started happening again and the check engine light came back on. When attempting to shift into reverse, the vehicle hard jolted us backwards and then died. The vehicle would no longer start or shift gears. On 6/28/20 got the vehicle to start so drove the vehicle, as it was still hard shifting, back to the dealership and dropped it off. The dealership still has it as of today and has refused to give us any paperwork from our previous 2 attempts at getting it fixed however gave us falsified documentation stating that we only brought it in the shop 1 time, when it actually is the 3RD time to be taken in for the same problem to be fixed. GM has refused to replace this defective vehicle nor return our money paid for it.

I am submitting a complaint regarding premature exhaust system failure on my 2020 Buick Enclave involving the front exhaust pipe/exhaust manifold/catalytic converter assembly. The issue appears very similar to the conditions described in GM Special Coverage programs N212356540 and N242445280 involving exhaust pipe and bracket failures on related GM crossover platforms. The mounting brackets/support brackets on the front exhaust pipe appear to fail or separate, which places excessive stress on the flex section of the exhaust system. This movement and stress can cause the flex pipe/manifold area to crack and may ultimately damage the catalytic converter assembly itself. My vehicle developed: Exhaust leak Loud ticking/exhaust noise Rich/lean oxygen sensor fault conditions Exhaust fumes entering or potentially entering the cabin Passenger dizziness while riding in the vehicle Concern for carbon monoxide exposure The repair facility documented that the exhaust leak should be repaired as soon as possible because exhaust fumes may enter the vehicle cabin. The estimated repair cost is approximately $1,700 for replacement of the integrated catalytic converter/exhaust manifold assembly. This appears to be more than ordinary wear and tear. The failure pattern is consistent with bracket/support failure causing abnormal stress and cracking in the exhaust system upstream near emissions components. Because these failures can allow exhaust gases and possible carbon monoxide exposure into the passenger compartment, I believe this issue represents a significant safety concern and warrants investigation for 2020 Buick Enclave vehicles and related GM crossover platforms.

I am submitting this complaint regarding a paint defect on my 2020 Buick Enclave. The passenger-side rear door has significant top-coat peeling and flaking, exposing the primer and metal underneath. This deterioration is not normal wear for a six-year-old vehicle that has been properly maintained and protected from environmental conditions. The pattern of peeling indicates a failure of the top coat or clear coat applied during manufacturing. The paint layers are separating prematurely, reducing corrosion protection and long-term durability. Exposed metal increases the risk of rust, structural weakening, and potential failure of the door panel, which may affect occupant safety in the event of a collision. I am aware that similar paint adhesion failures have been reported across multiple General Motors vehicles, and class-action lawsuits are currently pending alleging defective basecoat and clearcoat systems that cause premature peeling, bubbling, and flaking. The number of complaints suggests a broader manufacturing issue rather than isolated consumer misuse. Although my vehicle’s limited warranty has expired, the defect is clearly premature and manufacturing-related. A properly applied top coat should not fail this early, especially on a vehicle that has been routinely washed, waxed, and stored in normal conditions. I respectfully request that NHTSA review this issue and consider opening an investigation into paint top-coat failures on Buick and other GM vehicles. Premature paint failure affects corrosion resistance, vehicle longevity, and consumer value, and may compromise the safety of occupants and other drivers if corrosion spreads or structural integrity is reduced. I am willing to provide photographs, documentation, and maintenance records to support this complaint. Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your commitment to consumer safety and manufacturing accountability.

Vehicle suffered a catastrophic, uncommanded electronic and mechanical system failure within 30 days of purchase, resulting in a severe crash.Prior to the incident, the vehicle exhibited a violent, unexpected jerking motion while accelerating up a highway on-ramp, though control was briefly regained. A few days later at the end of May, while driving in the rain, the electronic systems completely failed with zero dashboard warning lights or error messages appearing. The vehicle completely overrode driver input, veering uncontrollably from lane to lane on its own. Simultaneously, a total loss of braking power occurred; pressing the brake pedal had no effect on reducing the vehicle's speed. To stop the runaway vehicle and prevent hitting other drivers, I was forced to intentionally steer the SUV into a physical wall. The impact deployed components, caused orange engine coolant to leak, and forced the electronic precision shifter into Neutral on its own before the vehicle lost all electrical power. The steering wheel airbag deployed during this initial impact.Approximately 5 minutes later, while the vehicle was disabled on the road and after I had safely exited, a secondary vehicle struck my stationary car, which caused the majority of the remaining airbags to deploy.Detroit Police responded to the scene and filed an official crash report noting that I 'lost control' and struck the wall, but the responding officer failed to document the mechanical/electronic brake and steering failure reported at the scene. This simultaneous loss of eBoost braking control and electronic steering assist strongly aligns with the current federal safety investigation into GM vehicles (NHTSA Case PE24011). The vehicle is currently parked and being preserved exactly as-is at my residence to serve as evidence, as the module memory holds the Event Data Recorder (EDR) data proving full brake application during the failure. I am requesting an immediate investigation into this VIN.

We bought our car in 2021 and shortly after our car started pouring water into the driver seat from the ceiling. At that time we thought it may have been a cracked window window. Actually we weren’t really sure because we don’t use the sunroof or anything really. However, it stopped doing it until around October 2023 when it escalated as it is our only vehicle and we are extremely busy. We hadn’t had the chance to take it in yet then in January 2024, while my wife was driving, water, literally poured into her lap while she was driving from the ceiling which could’ve caused an accident, when we took the vehicle in to get it serviced, they stated something that just sounds ridiculous. Something no one even ever made us aware of and something I’ve never in my whole history of owning vehicles with sunroof have I ever experienced I’ve never had a vehicle pour water from the ceiling , the dealership told us that it was our responsibility even though we have all warranties that you can have an as I’m looking online so many people with 2020 Buick enclaves are having the same exact issues with the water pouring from the ceiling. we have not even had our car for three years and now our car is pouring water constantly ruining our vehicle and it is a very big safety concern. We have children and waters pouring all over the driver while they’re trying to drive. I believe this is very big safety concern. I do believe that this is some type of malfunction with the Design, as I did see a recall for the same problem on a enclave, a few years older then ours. I pay $600 a month for my vehicle and I do not have $600 to get the situation fixed when I don’t believe that I should have to pay that when my vehicle came with this issue if someone could please look into this I would greatly appreciate it and I’m sure the hundreds of other people on the enclave recall thread as well. Not to mention the things inside of the vehicle that all this water could damage like my OnStar.

I am submitting this formal complaint regarding serious mechanical and safety issues with my 2020 Buick Enclave. These issues have created ongoing financial hardship, significant safety concerns, and an urgent need for investigation and resolution. Over the past several months, my vehicle has repeatedly displayed low‑oil notifications, sometimes occurring within one month of receiving a full oil change. During a recent visit to my mechanic for yet another low‑oil alert, he recalled that I had previously brought the vehicle in for the same issue. After conducting a more thorough inspection, he informed me that there was a failure within the engine/transmission assembly. He showed me the area where oil was seeping from the engine. I also inspected the oil filter and oil plug, both of which showed no signs of leakage. Following this diagnosis, I brought the vehicle to Royal Buick GMC. Their service department performed a SAVI Dongle test and a GM‑Certified Multi‑Point Inspection. The service technician informed me that the vehicle requires a complete engine replacement including the following: replacement of the engine, repair of a rear main seal failure, resealing of the oil pan, and replacement of the lower control arm. It is my belief that these issues are consistent with reported problems. In addition to the oil‑related failures, I have experienced sudden acceleration and jerking while driving. These incidents are alarming and pose a serious risk to my safety and the safety of others on the road. I am deeply concerned that this defect could lead to an accident through no fault of my own. This vehicle is my only means of transportation for work and for caring for my family. The cost and severity of the required repairs are catastrophic, and I believe the manufacturer should be held responsible for addressing these defects. I respectfully request that the NHTSA investigate these issues and assist in ensuring that GM/Buick replaces the engine for its safe operation.
