while vehicle is driving multiple dash alarms will start cycling through including stop/start, service electronic stability control, speed control messaging unavailable, service airbag system, service 4WD, engine light and ABS light, anti skid lights all come on, the speedometer goes to zero, and the power steering goes out. Driving highway speeds and suddenly having no power steering is a safety issue as well as being unsure if airbags etc are even functioning any longer. The problem has happened multiple times. The vehicle was inspected by a Jeep dealership as well as another shop in town and the codes were reproduced. They were unable to fix the issue and despite testing a "star connector" and finding it in good condition and unable to reproduce the issues were advised to replace that part anyway and see if they could reproduce the problem again at my expense. During this time the recall for 2022 Jeep Wranglers with NHTSA campaign number 26V363 came out and i requested to wait for further repair work to be done until the recall was repaired as it also relates to the power steering. I saw a fix had been published and return to the dealership to have the recall repair performed and was told that upon further inspection of the recalled part, mine passed the test, which was apparently a wiggle the wire and inspect the harness for ware only and my vehicle is no longer listed on the recall. I feel these things may still be related and I am extremely frustrated that I have a 4 year old vehicle that I am making payments on and paying insurance on that has been parked (not in my garage as it was a fire risk in the recall) and I don't feel its safe to drive and don't feel that Jeep or the local dealership are being honorable with their product.

I was driving in the middle lane on I96 west when the dashboard lite up fully every light alerting me of every possible thing that needs attention known to man. This isn’t the first time this has happened but it is was the first time on the highway. I attempted to move the steering wheel which wasn’t working-I’m guessing the power steering wasn’t working, I slowly moved to the far right lane and managed to exit the freeway actually “‘manhandling” the steering wheel to make the vehicle turn in either direction. Needless to say I was beyond scared of what was gonna happen next. I made it to a grocery store parking lot and called for towing back to the dealer. This vehicle was just at the dealer the previous week for the dashboard lighting up in the same way but I didn’t drive it anywhere since I couldn’t turn the wheel that time either. The dealer told me it was a fluke and sent me on my way. This vehicle is two yrs old and has only been serviced by the dealer for oil changes and tire rotations. After doing some research, I’ve read that other owners of Jeep wranglers have had similar problems going as far back as 2018! I can’t possibly be the only to report this issue. If I lost control of the vehicle due to power steering issues and sensor/computer failures what would happen to me? Would I be dead? Would I kill other people on the road? How would I ever be able to prove this is the vehicle and not me? This is an issue that needs to be looked at deeper. My vehicle is still at the dealership. It’s only two yrs old and has 40,000 miles. I need someone to look into this problem before something horrible happens to someone. Unfortunately my daughter also has a jeep wrangler and I hope she can stay calm if something like this happens to her on the freeway.

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11747074

My 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (VIN [XXX]) has completely lost power and shut down while being driven in moving traffic on three separate occasions, each time without warning. When it shuts down, the vehicle loses engine power and forward motion along with power-assisted braking, power-assisted steering, and hazard lights, and it has to be towed. The first failure occurred on or about XXX, at about 13,000 miles. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, and a bad battery cell and loose transmission control module terminals were addressed under warranty, but no cause for the shutdown was found. The second failure occurred on or about XXX, at about 14,608 miles. The vehicle shut down again in traffic and was towed in, leaving me stranded for over an hour. Replaced both batteries and No cause was found. The third failure occurred on or about XXX, at about 16,913 miles. The vehicle shut down a third time in traffic and was towed in. Both batteries failed testing and were replaced, and a blown 150-amp main fuse was replaced, but again no cause was identified. The vehicle still remains at the dealership and has not been diagnosed or repaired. After three repair attempts over roughly 4,000 miles, the manufacturer has not found or corrected the cause of these repeated electrical shutdowns. Losing all power in moving traffic, with no propulsion and no steering or braking assist, is an extreme safety hazard that could easily cause a crash. There has been no crash, injury, or fire so far, but the defect keeps recurring and the vehicle is still unsafe to rely on and is still at the dealer as no root cause has been found. I am requesting that NHTSA review this dangerous, unresolved defect. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Vehicle Make/Model/Year: 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Component Affected: Steering / Suspension or wheels not sure Mileage at First Incident: 30000 approx Odometer Now: 33150 approx Complaint Summary: My 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has experienced repeated incidents of "death wobble" and uncontrolable shake , where the steering wheel shakes violently and the vehicle becomes difficult to control. Both my husband and I have experienced this issue multiple times, often after hitting small bumps or uneven pavement also in the highway when at speeds over 60 mph. We have taken the vehicle to the dealership twice, ( this is after "fixing this issue twice supposely) explained the issue in detail, and requested a thorough inspection. Despite this, the vehicle was returned to us both times with no resolution, and the dealership stated they could not recreate the issue. We later confirmed with Jeep Customer Care that the service center did not open a STAR case as requested, and the original case was closed without resolution. This issue is intermittent, which is well-known with death wobble cases, yet no action has been taken to investigate or repair the root cause. This raises serious concerns about driver and passenger safety. The issue is ongoing, and we have now had to reopen the case with Jeep and escalate the matter ourselves. We have also discovered inconsistencies with other service claims. For example, the dealership claimed the battery was replaced during a previous visit, yet the physical battery under the seat has a sticker showing the same manufacturing date as the original, raising doubts that it was actually replaced. This is a dangerous, unresolved issue affecting the safety of our vehicle, and we are seeking accountability and formal investigation through the proper channels.

My Jeep Wrangler 4xe displayed a ‘Service Charging System’ warning immediately after unplugging from charging. I began to drive and noticed the warning right away. I then parked and attempted to restart the vehicle, but it would not start and became completely inoperable. The vehicle had to be towed. The dealer confirmed this issue is related to the current hybrid safety recall, but Stellantis has stated that no repair is available, and it may not be available until the end of the year or the first quarter of next year. The vehicle is undrivable, and I cannot safely use or move it. Stellantis is only offering reimbursement for a rental, which I cannot access because I cannot afford to pay for a rental vehicle upfront. Reimbursement for what could be an unlimited or months-long period of rental fees is not a reasonable or accessible remedy. This leaves me without any safe or practical transportation option. I have now been without transportation for over 48 hours, and the manufacturer is not providing a reasonable remedy or safe transportation while the recall repair remains unavailable. I am filing this complaint so NHTSA can document the delay, the lack of an accessible remedy, and the manufacturer’s failure to provide a safe, timely solution for an undrivable recall-affected vehicle. FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

50 months

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11765145

Post the 68c recall the acceleration profile of the vehicle is inconsistent and at times significantly delayed. To the point where when making left hand turns or merging into freeway traffic becomes dangerous. One specific instance while making a left I started to go but the accelerstion was extremely slow. Pressing the pedal nearly all the way down with traffic bearing down in me the enging finally kicked in at nearly full throttle. Causing a very chaotic turn. This is particularly noticeable while driving in electric mode, and usually shows up after driving for a little while. However I have had it happen very shortly after starting a drive. It does seem to be related to either battery or motor temperature, but it is very inconsistent. Typically when it does happen you try to accelerate and the normal response of acceleration doesn't occur. You keep pressing the pedal until it is nearly all the way to floor before the engine kicks in and suddenly is floored and you get more acceleration than you were trying to get. Not necessarily a safety issue, but further evidence that battery or electric power has been restricted. Since the 68c recall my fuel economy has reduced a out 8 mi/gal. I make the same road trips on a regular basis and the same trip prior to the 68c recall I got nearly 100mi more per tank of gas. It seems the battery charging and electric assist has been retarded from the original performance. Again this is more dramatic in all electric and causes precarious situations as described above. There are no warning lights or error messages, the dealer either can't reproduce the issue or calls it normal operation. I have over 90k miles on my vehicle and it is only the 10k or so since the 68c recall that I have noticed this issue. It is not performing "normally".

I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall (NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V720000) for my 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The vehicle has experienced stalling and a significant loss of engine power while driving, creating a serious safety hazard. These issues were first noticed in October 2024 and the vehicle has become unsafe to drive as a result. I previously submitted a complaint to the NHTSA in October 2024, but the issue remains unresolved. Following the recall advisory, I brought my vehicle to an authorized dealership on November 26, 2024, where I was informed that no available fix exists for this recall issue, and the dealership could not provide a timeline for when a remedy would be available. The malfunction involves the high-voltage battery pack software, which is part of the recall remedy. However, this update has not been applied to my vehicle, and the ongoing performance degradation continues to put my safety at risk. The recall explicitly mentions the potential for fire and injury, which heightens my concern regarding the unresolved issue. Safety Risk: The stalling and loss of power while driving creates an immediate danger to my safety and that of others on the road. The vehicle is no longer reliable or safe to drive under these conditions. Dealer Confirmation: The problem has been confirmed by the dealership, but no remedy has been provided, and no repair timeline has been given. Symptoms: Prior to the failure, no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms were present, and the issue emerged suddenly while driving. Resolution Requested: I request an investigation into Chrysler’s failure to resolve this recall in a timely manner. I urge the NHTSA to take corrective action to ensure that the necessary repairs are made promptly to avoid further risk to my safety and the safety of others.

RE: SAFETY COMPLAINT FOLLOWING RECALL 68C (NHTSA Recall Number 24V-111 / Mopar 68C) I am the owner of a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. Prior to having safety recall 68C performed, the hybrid system functioned flawlessly. Immediately upon receiving the vehicle back from the dealership after the 68C software flash, a severe drivability and safety hazard emerged. When driving in standard Hybrid/Electric mode, the vehicle experiences a sudden loss of power, hesitation, and a physical 'bogging down' sensation. Following this lag, the vehicle violently surges into gasoline mode, causing a sudden and unpredictable acceleration lurch after the vehicle hesitates to accelerate. This behavior occurs randomly at both low neighborhood speeds and highway speeds, making it impossible to smoothly modulate throttle input. This creates an immediate safety hazard when attempting to pull out into cross-traffic, merge onto highways, or maintain a safe, predictable following distance. The vehicle hesitates when throttle is demanded, creating a risk of being rear-ended, followed by an uncommanded surge. The dealership states the vehicle is 'operating as designed' according to a regional Jeep field engineer, implying this dangerous lag-and-surge behavior was intentionally introduced into the vehicle's management software by the manufacturer to mitigate, the recall notice noted above, battery thermal risks at the expense of occupant driving safety. The manufacturer’s recall remedy has traded a fire risk for an active moving traffic hazard." Several forums and AI searches show this is a common problem the manufacturer has created to avoid a costly recall by addressing the real issue with the battery’s fire risk. Instead they have intentionally reduce the battery’s performance causing a safety issue with the vehicle’s acceleration and operation.

I am writing to express my serious concern regarding the safety recall initiated by FCA US for the Jeep Wrangler 4xe. This recall, which pertains to an internally failed HV battery, poses a significant safety risk to vehicle occupants, bystanders, and property. As stated in the summary provided by FCA US, an internally failed HV battery in the affected vehicles could lead to a vehicle fire, regardless of whether the ignition is on or off. This presents an alarming safety hazard, as a vehicle fire not only increases the risk of occupant injury but also poses a threat to individuals outside the vehicle and can result in substantial property damage. While it is commendable that FCA US has initiated a voluntary safety recall to address this issue, the proposed remedy raises several concerns. The instruction for customers to refrain from recharging these vehicles and to avoid parking them inside buildings or structures, or near other vehicles until the final repair is completed, is deeply troubling. This instruction places an undue burden on affected vehicle owners, as it significantly disrupts their daily routines and raises questions about the practicality and feasibility of implementing such precautions. Furthermore, it fails to provide a comprehensive solution to mitigate the risk of vehicle fires effectively. Moreover, the solution is completely ineffective as it puts the liability back on the customer since FCA will not deem the vehicle inoperable. This refusal to acknowledge the severity of the safety risk and to take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of vehicle occupants is unacceptable. I urge thorough investigation by NHTSA into the root cause, that they ensure transparent communication by FCA, and accountability for FCA's inadequate response. Failure to address this promptly endangers lives and property. Please prioritize this critical issue.

On 12/17/2025, my 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (VIN [XXX] , 15,871 miles) experienced violent front-end oscillation — known as "death wobble" — while my daughter was driving on the highway at approximately 50–55 mph after encountering a road imperfection. The steering wheel and front suspension shook violently side-to-side. Vehicle control was significantly impaired and she had to slow substantially to stop the oscillation. Video of the incident is attached. The vehicle is completely stock: OEM suspension, tires, and wheels, no lift, no aftermarket modifications. I took it the same day to Safford Brown Jeep, an authorized Jeep dealer. They diagnosed the issue and replaced the front suspension steering damper. Repair cost $800 out of pocket. The dealer called it out of warranty because the 3-year basic warranty had elapsed, despite the vehicle having only 15,871 miles — well under the 36,000-mile warranty limit. A safety-critical steering defect at this mileage on a fully stock vehicle is consistent with a manufacturing or design defect, not wear or modification. This is a known, dangerous defect in Jeep solid-front-axle vehicles. NHTSA has received hundreds of complaints on prior Wrangler model years, and Stellantis (FCA) entered a 2023 class-action settlement covering 2018–2020 Wranglers and 2020 Gladiators with an 8-year/90,000-mile steering damper warranty extension. The 2022 model year was excluded despite exhibiting the same defect. I am filing this complaint to document that the issue persists in post-2020 Wranglers and request NHTSA evaluate whether a safety defect determination and recall is warranted for 2021+ model years. No crash, fire, or injuries — but loss of steering control at highway speed is a serious crash risk, especially with a young driver behind the wheel. Installed a factory Jeep Fox 2" lift kit after reaching 700 miles on new 2022 Sahara. Checked and rechecked all torque specifications and took to dealer the next day for an alignment. They straightened the steering wheel which is a normal requirement when installing a lift. After about one month, I had an occurrence of the "death wobble". This is my 5th Jeep Wrangler, some with lifts, some without, so I am aware of the wobble when hitting a bump around 50-55mph and how to handle it. I rechecked all the specs on each bolt touched during lift install. I don't drive it much and baby it so it took a while before it happened again. Last week, 3 time on same highway around 55mph ON A STRAIGHT highway I experienced the wobble. I found a great diagnosis blog which led to the discovery of both tie rod ends failing and making 'clunking' noise man manually twisted by hand. I took to the dealer who had to order parts. There was no mention of stock tire balancing or steering damper replacement like in other complaints, however I have not recieved my Jeep back yet to verify the problem is fixed. Everything on the vehicle is stock other than the Mopar/Fox lift kit from the dealer. I requested another alignment and I'm curious to see the numbers compared to 1 year ago. The camber and caster is not adjustable and the tires were rotated once already and only have about 8700 miles on them. The obvious culprit I found as a consumer was the tie rod ends which have been described in many Jeep forums as being sub-par and junk. If my wife would drive this Jeep with my two young children and experienced the wobble for the first time on her own, there is no doubt she could crash into a fellow motorist. I always have to slow down and pull to the shoulder....I'm not sure how she'd react. Dangerous and noted multiple times on this site and Jeep forums. Make JEEP fix this issue as it has been around for YEARS!

On 3/3/2026, I brought me JEEP 4XE to the Jeep dealership in Paris, Kentucky to have the 68C recall performed. The Jeep dealership used version #7 of the 68C recall instructions to updated all software modules and then to perform a 7 mile test run to engage the electric engine and to stress the vehicle per the instructions documented in the recall instructions. Document is identified as: * High Voltage Battery * Reference: 68C/NHTSA 25V-741 * Revision: 7 * Edition: February 2026 * Details: Additional DTC added to the end of Section B. BPCM software update After picking vehicle up from dealership, I proceeded home via a state highway Route 68 (Paris Pike). The roadway is a 4 lane divided highway and has a speed limit of 55mph. I set my vehicle to HYBRID mode and then placed it on cruise control as I had done numerous times over its 25,000 miles. During the drive there were occasional rolling hills and inclines. I gauged the hills to be about a 1% grade on average but never exceeding 2% grade. During these inclines, the gasoline engine engaged and the RPM gauge on the instrument cluster registered 3000RPM. This excessive engine RPM had NEVER occurred before the 68C factory recall procedure. In all other instances of the engine engaging, the RPM would engage at 2000RPM. I contend that the the engagement of the gasoline engine on these small inclines was NOT warranted and that the excessive RPM's of 3000 is not normal and was never experienced prior to the 68C recall fix. I am submitting this information for review and documentation. Video of the instrument cluster gauge showing the RMP gauage and the display panel showing the engine and battery kW used were taken to document the process. I believe that the engagement of the gasoline engine at 3000RPM will cause excessive wear of the engine and is a direct result of one of the software updates that was used to complete the 68C recall.

Death wobble at highway speeds in a 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4 door with full stock equipment and roughly 3,500 miles in October 2022. No previous experience or difficulties with vehicle but when temperatures lowered to freezing for the first time, the vehicle had significantly diminished performance on stability. After the initial death wobble, carefully driving the wheel continued to pulsate when hitting cracks in the pavement (wheels going into a downward bump, bumps in the up direction did not impact steering as heavily). Took more than 9 weeks to be see by the Dealerships after calling multiple dealers and working with Jeepwave- warranty. After the vehicle was confirm to have a Front Track Bar defect and Steering Dampener defect, the dealer informed me the car "was safe to drive" until parts were available with a 5-6 week window before they'd arrive - due to another defect my vehicle was in the shop for most of that. Upon return of the vehicle, immediate test drive by myself noted the steering is now improved but still inconsistently experiencing the steering wheel shaking (no vibration in the pedals but vibration is noticable for passengers sitting in the vehicle). Called the Dealership again, was told this is just the 1st fix they've been told to try and it'll be another 3 weeks prior to the dealership bringing the vehicle in for "additional diagnostics" without a clear plan for what parts they plan to replace next. Concern for me to send this note - the Vehicle at speeds as low as 62 mph starts to have a pulsating wheel that if roads are icy, an unsuspecting person were to drive my brand new vehicle with only 6,500 miles at this point, or a particular bump arises and fully loses control. Jeep knew of the issue and did not expedite my ability to get into a dealer - they played dumb on the issue until it was in the shop. There has been no urgency on my driving this vehicle as they deem it "safe to drive".

Brand new 2022 Wrangler Sahara 4xe randomly stalled in traffic. There was about 450 miles on the vehicle. This happened about 2 weeks after I purchased the vehicle. I've seen that others have been having this issue and there's even a lawsuit regarding this. I had two passengers in the car with me and I was driving at night with a line of cars behind me down a windy road and could have caused a pile up. When I first got in the car, the pure gas range was around 135 miles. I put the car in electric and drove for about 3 minutes till I arrived at my destination. Right after I put the car in park, the low fuel sign came on but there was still around 126 miles left of gas so I was very confused. I drove for another 5 minutes and this time the fuel dropped down to 34 miles. So within a matter of minutes, I lost 100 miles in gas range. I went to fuel the car and when I turned it off and on, the low fuel sign disappeared and the car was back to 126 miles of gas range before I even put any additional fuel into it. I figured this was just a fuel sensor issue and ignored it. After I added fuel, it drove fine for 30 minutes or so and then as I was driving home, I noticed that the car seemed to just suddenly slow down and I got a warning sign to put my car in park and turn it off and on. I was able to pull to the side but I noticed that on the side where you can choose between, electric, hybrid, and e-save, all of the options were not lighted. It appeared as though the engine had stalled. Once I restarted the car, it ran fine. I do not believe I received a check engine light or any other warning signs except for the car telling me to restart and once I did, everything went away. Some folks on the 4xe forum said to check the fusebox and 90% of the fuses were loose or not seated properly. However, this should not be related to the fuel sensor issue. Brought it to a dealership and they said nothing was wrong with it and no codes came up.

Recently, my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe was affected by the 68C Fire Safety recall where the Jeep was stuck at the dealership for battery replacement for 6 weeks. The dealership didn't have a loaner vehicle to offer during the time of the Safety recall. I was asked to contact the Jeep customer care about securing a rental vehicle during the time. I got this email from Stellantis before I started the rental: " Thank you again for speaking with me today. As a follow-up to our call, your rental reimbursement has been approved. You may rent through a licensed and legitimate company—such as Enterprise, Hertz, Avis, or Budget—at a daily rate of $60 per day, based on the local rates in your area. Sales tax is included in this amount. Please note that optional services—including insurance, fuel, tolls, GPS, tips, and underage driver fees—are not reimbursable through Jeep Customer Care. Rental reimbursement applies only to warranty-related repairs and covers the time your vehicle is at the dealership, unless special arrangements have been approved. To process your reimbursement, please reply to this email with the following documents: Once we receive these documents, we’ll begin processing your reimbursement right away. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out—I’m happy to help. " Jeep is now refusing the reimburse the non-optional charges saying that they only reimburse Time and Mileage and Taxes. Here are the required charges that Jeep is refusing to reimburse (Total of $337.71): Road Safety Fee (Colorado Mandatory): $229.62 (Total for both periods) Avis Mandatory Fees (FTP SR, License Recoup, Energy): $96.09 Extension Fee (Due to Repair Duration): $12.00 I spoke with the Customer Care multiple times that these are mandatory fees and as per their original email to me, they are supposed to only exclude optional fees from reimbursement. They are saying that Corporate policy is inconsistent with that email and they are unable to reimburse.

My vehicle has been nearly underivable since purchased. Several times I have taken the car in for things like: No power. The car will drive, but slowly and with no "get up and go". It takes quite a bit of time to get to legal driving speed. This has happened on a highway at least once, and multiple times on regular roads. My electrical system has failed, and all components, including my battery, has shut down. This happened on the highway on my way to work. I lost time at work as well as my car for 34 days. (This is the second time it has happened). My gas tank cover refusing to open/my gas tank refusing to accept gas. My electric battery getting too hot and burning through wires, including my coolant tubes, which in turn, shut my car down. This happened on a major road. All of these things have caused immediate safety to myself and others that have been in my car when it stopped working. I have thankfully been able to get myself off the road in all of these instances without causing an accident. There have been several break downs where I had to have someone come get me, and I have had it towed several times to the dealership as well. I have broken down entirely on the highway several times, slowing to a stop and having people needing to drive around me, or stop to help. I have taken the vehicle in many, many times and have been without my car for over 40 days (if I counted, it would be over 60 days). The dealership has told me it's a 4xe problem, but then lists the problem on paper as various things (coolant leaks, high voltage battery problem). At this point, I am afraid to drive it, as I have 1 active recall with no remedy available and a few alerts. My check engine light came on again this morning with no reasoning behind it, and the Jeep says to check ABS braking system and electrical systems. It's my very expensive daily driver. It has been inspected by two dealerships, with me taking into one dealership at least 12 times for recalls and repairs.

I would like to report a safety concern with my 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe that began after Recall 68C was performed in January 2026. Prior to this recall, my Jeep did not exhibit the behavior I am now experiencing. Since the recall was completed, the vehicle has repeatedly showed unpredictable transitions between the electric motor and gasoline engine, delayed acceleration, loss of expected power, and unusually high engine RPM immediately upon the gasoline engine starting. When driving in electric mode the gasoline engine will sometimes start unexpectedly without what appears to be any normal engine warm-up period. When this happens, the Jeep does not accelerate normally. There is a noticeable lag and loss of expected acceleration. Because I am concerned about both engine damage and the safety implications of the delayed acceleration, I have essentially stopped using Electric mode. Unfortunately, I have discovered that the problem can also occur while driving in Hybrid mode. When the battery charge is below approximately 50%, the gasoline engine may start unexpectedly. When this occurs, the vehicle can repeatedly switch between gasoline and electric propulsion several times within approximately one minute. The result is a jumpy, inconsistent driving experience along with hesitation and delayed acceleration. I have experienced situations where I press the accelerator, there is a noticeable delay before the vehicle accelerates. In an emergency situation such as attempting to avoid another vehicle or accelerate out of a dangerous situation that delay could contribute to a collision. The vehicle also does not perform the way it did before Recall 68C was completed. It has less responsive power, the gasoline engine operates more frequently, and the engine can be started immediately, without warmup. This is particularly frustrating because I owned and drove this vehicle before the recall and know how the 4xe powertrain previously behaved. I attached photos in electric mode.

SUSPENSION,UNKNOWN OR OTHER

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11734581

Q1: The steering and front suspension system malfunctioned. The vehicle experiences a severe “death wobble,” violent and uncontrolled shaking/oscillation of the steering wheel and front end after hitting bumps or uneven pavement, especially at higher speeds. The suspected affected components may include the steering linkage, track bar, steering damper/stabilizer, ball joints, tie rods, control arms, bushings, alignment/caster, or other front suspension/steering components. Q2: The defect causes violent steering wheel and front-end shaking while driving, creating a loss of stable steering control. When the wobble occurs, the vehicle becomes difficult to control and I have to slow down significantly to regain control. This creates a serious risk of a crash, especially at highway speeds, in traffic, on curves, or if another driver is nearby. The first time it happened I was on the highway near two tractor trailers who recognized the issue and slow down for me too. The condition puts me, my passengers, other motorists, pedestrians, and anyone near the roadway at risk because the vehicle can suddenly become unstable after normal road bumps or pavement irregularities. Q3: The problem has been brought to an local mechanic 3 times for repair or diagnosis, but the issue has not been resolved. The vehicle continues to experience the same severe steering/front-end wobble after those repair attempts. As of this complaint, the issue has not yet been formally diagnosed or resolved by an authorized Jeep dealer. I am filing this complaint because the condition remains unresolved and I believe it is a serious safety defect. Q4: The vehicle has been inspected and repaired by an local mechanic on 3 occasions related to this issue. The Healy dealership fixed the last recall right before this. I called them on the way home from the dealership when it first happened. Q4: There were no warning lamps or dashboard message before the wobble occurred. Became more aggressive in Jan 2026.

Powertrain / transmission failure

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11594634

The following is an excerpt of the original email I sent dealer on [XXX] one day after I purchased the vehicle: I spoke to **** yesterday and made him aware the transmission on my new/used Jeep Wrangler I just bought failed. I left your facility in the Bronx at 1:40 PM yesterday and was on the side of the [XXX] at approximately 3:30 PM in Dix Hills [XXX]. **** spoke to your Manager **** and recommended that I have it towed to the closest Jeep dealer. The Jeep is now at the Huntington Jeep service center in Commack at 5080 Jericho Turnpike. After waiting for a tow for almost two hours we arrived at Huntington Jeep. The service shop was closed for the day and I am without a car and have no loaner car. I expect Riverdale to have a loaner car in my driveway tomorrow morning. Attached is also the receipt from the tow I need to be reimbursed on. See also pictures of Jeep on flatbed tow truck. The fact of the matter is that I asked about the open clutch recall and was assured that your maintenance team went through the Jeep and took care of any open items. This was not true, as per the attached open recall I just found on the Mopar recall site. It clearly says this VIN# Jeep was not addressed and the exact description in the recall is what happened to me. The Jeep indeed smelled like it was going to go on fire. The fact that you guys sent me on my way with what could have been a very dangerous situation because you neglected to disclose the correct information on the recall. I could have been killed someone near my vehicle could have been killed, because I know for a fact something shot out of the transmission housing and the car behind me had to swerve out of the way. I fortunately was able to get to the side of the parkway safely. I still have no correspondence from either dealer regarding a fix/repair a week later and no loaner car or rental. Yesterday I gave Riverdale Chrysler Jeep the opportunity to reimburse me in full and I have no response. INFORMATION REDACTED PUR

I am filing this complaint regarding serious safety and consumer protection concerns involving my 2022 Jeep Wrangler (VIN: [XXX] ), manufactured by Stellantis, as well as issues involving the towing company E&R Towing following my accident. Prior to my accident on November 8, 2025, my vehicle experienced multiple ongoing mechanical issues, including overheating, shaking while driving, and abnormal loud noises. These issues raised serious safety concerns and were not properly resolved. On November 8, 2025, I was involved in a rollover accident. Following the accident, Stellantis initiated an investigation and retained Bosch/Engineering Analysis Associates to extract Event Data Recorder (EDR) data from my vehicle. While presented as an independent inspection, this analysis was conducted by a vendor hired by Stellantis, raising concerns about the objectivity and scope of the findings. Stellantis ultimately denied responsibility, stating that the conditions of the crash did not meet the threshold for airbag deployment. However, this conclusion fails to address the ongoing mechanical and safety issues I experienced prior to the accident, including the possibility of system or sensor malfunction. Additionally, my claim for relief under Illinois Lemon Law was denied without fully considering the pattern of defects and safety concerns. I have also filed a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Complaint #XXX, regarding safety concerns with this vehicle. Following the accident, my vehicle was handled by E&R Towing. I have concerns regarding how my vehicle was managed after the crash, including the handling process and lack of transparency regarding procedures and fees. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed for potential violations of Illinois consumer protection laws, including unfair or deceptive practices, failure to properly address known vehicle safety issues, and improper handling of my vehicle following acciden INFORMATION RED

22’ JEEP 4xE LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER Vehicle wouldn’t start for approximately 15 minutes. Showed charging system error and a battery light was on. Once vehicle started it was driven 5 minutes, parked and turned off. Within 30 minutes it was started again, and driven down the street when it lost power and indicated the speed was limited. I attempted to turn around to get back and park it when it quit in the middle of an intersection. Vehicle had a message to put it in park. I did. It wouldn’t restart or go into neutral to even push it out of the road. After about 10 minutes it started and I drove it back. It kept losing throttle and rolled opposite direction down a hill while in gear and still running. The throttle intermittently would work and rev then move forward. I backed it uphill into my driveway with it continued to roll forward and then rev the engine and reverse. When it losses power to the pedal it doesn’t rev the engine and will roll. Instrument panel and lights/entertainment still work when it does this. Mine and my children’s safety were put at risk. We called the dealer where we purchased from ‘Orangeville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram - 207163 Highway 9 East, Orangeville ON L9W 2Z7’ was told to bring it in. I said it was extremely dangerous and unsafe to drive. I asked for them to have it towed in and they refuse to pay for the towing. We mentioned a query into safety recall 22V-865 by ODI we found but they stated it was unknown to them and VIN didn’t show an open recall. We are without a vehicle as it sits in the driveway presently. (incident may be related) In nov 2023, about 9 months prior to this my [XXX] daughter was driving with my 9 and 11 y/o in the back seats and went into a ditch, damaging the front passenger fender, front bumper and hood. She mentioned something happened to the car and she lost control. There was no police report for this. There were engine lights on. We called a tow to get it out. The engine light went away on it own. INFORMATION RE

See attached document for complaint. Excerpt from attachment: I received a letter from the FCA FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES an according to the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety act that letter stated: "FCA US LLC had decided that certain 2022 Jeep Wrangler vehicle equipped with a 3.5" Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) failed to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVS) No.101-Controls and displays" Safety recall 30B/NHTSA 24V -652 February 2025 I called the FCA Recall Assistance center at 1-800-853-1403. The agent told me the part was available. So, I made an appointment through them and to brought my Jeep into the San Diego Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram San Diego, CA, but about an hour later I received a phone call the "mechanics" said that they did not have the part(s) for this issue to be repaired. We went back to retrieve my 2022 Jeep Wrangler Sport Sand was told that they could keep the car due to needing the latest mileage on my Jeep, before they even could order the parts or whatever to fix it. Note my instrumental panel seem to be working fine. But According to that Jeep "mechanic" it still had to be replaced. I can't afford to leave my Jeep there waiting for some part(s) to be ordered. The mechanics can't say when the parts would be available for the repair to be done. It could be a week, it could be a month, it could be a year, they can't say. But they never told me if they are ordering any parts without keeping my Jeep there gathering dust waiting for something to happen. The "mechanics" aren't going to charge me, that is what they said. But the part about not getting it done in a reasonable time due to not having the parts and wanting me to leave the Jeep there to what? Gather dust?
