Somehow someone bumped the knob getting their food and the burner came on without us knowing. The pot holders were burnt black and one fell apart .

The knobs barely have to be depressed inward before they can be rotated to the ON position, making it very easy to unintentionally turn the gas on to a burner with a slight bump of the knob. While this has not resulted in a fire or injury in my home, I see no reason the current recall should be limited only to the electric models when the same issue exists on the gas models.
