Government / agencyIndexed Oct 9, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11697761

During my ownership, the vehicle experienced multiple dangerous failures. It suddenly lost power while driving with my 2‑year‑old child onboard, and on another occasion the steering wheel locked for several seconds on the freeway. The car has had numerous recalls, and the dealer later confirmed an EV motor failure but offered no buyback. These defects created serious safety risks and caused significant financial loss, which I believe requires NHTSA’s attention.

I had just entered Interstate 15 about a mile from my home. I was in middle lane going approximately 65 mph, error message "engine computer failure, please pull over to safe place and call for service" appeared on screen and car lost all motive power. I was able to pull over to side of road, shut car off and then restart car. I was then able to drive home. Had car towed to dealer next day. They said they needed to update two software modules to latest version which "should" fix the problem.

sudden electrical failure. Two times the car has had sudden unexpected power loss. In particular the forward motion of the stopped suddenly, fortunately i was at low speed <20 mph. Both times electrical error message was noted on the driver's center screen. I was able to turn the car off and then attempted several times to turn it back on, eventually the car started. In my opinion there are no precipitating factors. Also fortunately there were no other cars behind me, otherwise i am sure an accident would have happened.

The safety risk of having the car’s motor completely lose power on the road/highway is high, as you are then left powerless. We have not reproduced this issue ourselves. Our local Porsche dealer has looked at it and said it was a “one off” type of malfunction and could not find any issue with the car when we brought it in. The car shut off while driving and gave a “Motor control error.” The car’s interior electronics stayed on, but the car had no drive power at all. There were no warning signs or problems prior to this issue occurring

The car showed an electrical error & lost power then shut down on the freeway. Once the car came to a complete stop I was unable to get out of the vehicle because it locked me inside. This is a safety hazard and had I not take the precautions to exit the freeway I May not have survived. This needs to be investigated as from what I've ready, this has been a common issue in this vehicle. It happened first on the ,'December 16TH & then again December 25TH. Software and the 12V battery were replaced the first time, and the day after the car was picked up from service it happened again.

In the center of the lane on a straight highway, vehicle will suddenly brake without warning. There are no vehicles ahead. A warning light comes on the dash and says “Driver Control Required,” yet both my hands are on the steering wheel. The feeling is that of a brake check performed by the electronic sensors of the car, and not at the driver’s command. Had there been a car following behind me, he could have hit me in the rear. Dealer is aware of the complaint but says, “system is working as designed.” Manufacturer responds by directing me back to the dealership. Yet the problem persists.

Porsche Taycan has been plagued with recurrent electrical issues despite 2 factory recall messages and reported fixes. The car screen and gauges all blacked out while driving despite reportedly fixing this electrical problem. Further a serious brake issue occurred (pedal going all the way down making harsh sound) within 2 years. If that’s not enough the car had an “serious electrical system” error message with yellow battery “requires service” and been in the shop for 4months and they apparently cannot fix it. These are all major safety issues for a brand new car within the first 2 years of purchase.

While driving in a particularly curved section of highway 1 the vehicle lost all power and control. I had to wrestle the vehicle to the side of the road and narrowly avoided a cliff face off into the ocean. My entire family was in the car and could have been killed. This was after Porsche was unable to fix safety systems like my active cruise control and lane keep assist which were bugging out and trying to take over control of the car. I towed it to Porsche who attempted to address the problem and claimed it was fixed with a patch. There is no way to validate the work. Porsche did not communicate during the issue and offered little in the way of resolution.

It was stop and go traffic. I was distracted and the car failed to auto stop and I hit the car in front of me. The alert did come on after the collision. I would assume the automatic braking failed or the collision would not have occurred. It was a low speed impact so not a major safety risk but even a minor collision can have a significant injury in susceptible subjects? The problem has not been reproduced to my knowledge. The component has not been inspected. The car has been evaluated by a body shop for damages and the damages are significant. The warning light came on in an inadequate time to prevent the collision. There were no other warning lamps

I am reporting a safety issue with my Porsche Taycan. On two separate occasions within the past month, the vehicle has experienced a sudden and complete loss of power while I was accelerating hard on the highway. In both instances, the vehicle immediately entered “turtle mode,” severely limiting performance to the point where there was effectively no power available to maintain speed or safely maneuver with traffic. The only way to restore normal operation was to fully stop the vehicle, turn it off, and restart it. This creates a dangerous situation, especially at highway speeds, as it exposes me and other drivers to a high risk of collision due to the sudden and unexpected loss of propulsion.

My complaint is that the car will not move. I get in the car to drive and the car displays the following message, “ Electrical System Error. Stop vehicle in a safe place.” This has happened on numerous occasions(at least 7) since I received the car on February 10, 2021. Mind you I work from home so I don’t drive it but once a week. I am quite fortunate that thus far it has only happened in my garage. I took the car to the local Porsche dealership for a software update but that was not the solution. It occurred again after the update. I thought maybe it had something to do with the car charger because it usually occurred a couple days after charging the car but I haven’t charged it in over 2 weeks.

April 27 I tried a launch control and a few seconds into it I got "All wheel drive error. " Engine performance limited." The car slowed and would only drive a maximum of 20mph. It cycled through several screens, one said "Visit workshop". I tried to attached movie and photo, no luck. I let car sit turned off for about 10 minutes, drove it again, no errors. Tried launch control again, no errors. I have a .mov that shows the errors (My son was in the passenger seat so I had him record the errors). I cannot attach an .mov here. I took it into dealer, they said Porsche didn't have a fix for this but they said not to worry about it. It is dangerous to have the car only go 20mph at some random time!

I brought my vehicle in to a Porsche dealer on May 24th 2025 for a noise coming from the front right wheel area. There were some other issues but those were not safety related. They stated the vehicle has an open recall campaign for a brake hose. That there is a risk it could break. It is now July 18th 2025 and the dealer has had the car the entire time since May 24th 2025. They are saying they can't complete the safety recall due to no parts. Porsche has issued a STOP order for dealers selling affected vehicles. Porsche has issued a STOP order for dealers to use affected vehicles as loaners. It seems I should STOP driving the car as well yet the dealer indicated it is to give it back to me unrepaired.

As I was coasting to a stop at a stoplight the car shuddered and lost all power from the engine. I was able to stop the car and a red warning on the dashboard said 'drive system control fault, park vehicle safely'. I've heard from a number of other taycan owners and they have had the same problem while driving, in some cases on the freeway and had to stop in the left hand lane. I believe this fault is very dangerous and serious. I am very concerned this could happen to me while driving at speed, and could result in an accident and/or injury to me or others. The car did reset after I turned it off and restarted, and I did not have a problem for the rest of the day. The car is currently at the dealer.

While driving at approximately 40mph, a red message suddenly appeared in the dashboard saying “Engine Control Error- Park vehicle in a Safe Place”. Simultaneously, the car became unresponsive - for example, pressing the gas pedal had no effect. I was able to brake and drift to the side of the road, but the car kind of bumpily ground to halt, feeling almost as if I had a flat tire (which I did not). Once I shut off the car and restarted, it ran again but had that issue occurred at a high speed or on a busier roadway, a serious accident was possible. I just recently had the car serviced to do a major upgrade the software and have seen others posting in forums about this serious issue. I never had this issue prior to the software update and have driven the car over 5000 miles.

Yes the car is available for inspection on request. The car had 180 miles of battery power. The car behind me slammed their brakes on and nearly slammed into the rear of the car. The red warning light came on "Electrical System Error park vehicle in a safe place". There was absolutely no warning before this occurred. I am afraid for my life with this car i nearly got into an accident at 30 mph let alone if i was on the highway i could have easily died. This problem has been reported with thousands of porsche taycans. The car has been at the porsche dealership for a week so far where they are reporting electrical faults in the car.

While driving the vehicle, an error message (Engine Control Error) will pop up. The car will come to an immediate stop…forcing the driver to shut off car and restart it. This has happened multiple times and in one instance occurred on the highway. It almost caused a catastrophic accident as the car came to an abrupt stop in the middle lane of the highway. I’ve taken the car to the dealership multiple times and they have not been able to fix it. I’ve read many Taycan message board posts and it seems like this is a common issue amongst multiple years of Taycans. This is a serious safety issue and a recall should be issued with a remedy for this. Due to this, I cannot drive the car on the highway as I’m scared of it happening randomly. This is a known issue and one that should be recalled and handled appropriately by Porsche.

A warning appeared on the dashboard reading: “ Engine control error — park vehicle in a safe place“. There was no roadway shoulder, but fortunately I was coasting downhill and was able to exit the freeway onto an exit ramp, where I parked the car on the shoulder. I called Porsche roadside assistance and waited over 45 minutes for a tow truck. It had still not arrived when I was able to restart the vehicle and resume driving. I took it to the dealer where I bought the car, and they said they would check it out. They did not indicate that any other Taycans had been returned to them with this issue, although I have read numerous news accounts describing this problem in recent weeks. Had this power failure occurred under different circumstances, I and other drivers would have been at risk of serious injury or death.

My 2020 Taycan Turbo was purchased brand new by myself July 07/ 2020, and has had a tremendous amount of problems and issues. All are documented and have photos as proof. The car is available for whomever wishes to inspect it. One of the more recent issues was the car - without warning - while I was driving, not functioning and I wasn't able to turn the wheel, use the gas pedal, the brake or anything. Nothing in the car was operable. After it coasted ( I was almost rear ended but luckily the other driver veered off the road to avoid a collision.) the brakes decided to work. I was making a left turn after being stopped at a traffic light - just a few moments after the turn, all of a sudden I experienced violent jerking motions of the car, and lost all power in the middle of traffic, and rolled to a complete stop. This was an exceptionally dangerous place to just have the car stop responding. I noted an error message "Engine Control Error" with a red ring around it in the rightmost instrument cluster. I turned on my hazard lights; other electrical functions were still working in the car (e.g. music was still playing over the audio system). I power cycled car off and then on again, and cleared the error, and the car drove normally again. The problem did not recur despite driving about 5 miles more on the way home. I have stopped and started car and drove brief periods several times since then without issue. The state of charge was about 75%, having charged last night at home on AC to 80%. Ambient temperature outside was hot today, almost 90 degrees F, and very humid.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 8, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11564207

There is obviously a design flaw in the fan cooling system for the main high voltage 93.4 kw battery. The cooling vents allow small gravel to enter the intake ports powered by fans to cool the battery. (this is a major issue for areas of the country where gravel is used for winter road maintenance. This issues arises every snow season) Gravel gets into the ports and can possibly jamb the fan propeller blades thus not being able to cool the battery properly. I have a work order at the dealership to clean out the cooling ducts. when the gravel enters these ducts they make a grinding sound when the fans engage. The dealership reported this to the manufacturer, and the response from the manufacturer was it is not their issue. The service dealership said additional screening over the intake ports can not be done because information from the manufacturer states this would impede the necessary airflow to cool the batteries. To further bring attention to this design issue, the high voltage 93.4 kw battery failed, July 19, 2023 at 17,551 miles.

SERVICE BRAKES

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 8, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11735150

The tungsten carbide coating on the PSCB (Porsche Surface Coated Brake) rotors has failed at 44,000 miles. This is not normal wear. The Taycan’s regenerative braking system handles the substantial majority of deceleration under normal driving conditions, meaning the mechanical brakes on this vehicle have seen a fraction of the use they would on a comparable internal combustion vehicle at the same mileage. Coating failure under these conditions is consistent with a material or manufacturing defect. Porsche has issued Technical Service Bulletins addressing PSCB disc replacement on the 2020 Taycan, indicating this is a known issue. Porsche Cars North America was contacted twice requesting goodwill consideration and denied both requests, citing warranty expiration without addressing the vehicle’s braking profile or the existence of related TSBs. The cost of OEM PSCB rotor replacement is approximately $7,500–$10,000 including labor. No safety-equivalent aftermarket replacement exists for this proprietary system, leaving owners with no practical alternative to the full OEM repair cost.

My car on two separate occasions lost power and took several seconds to recover while fighting it. It would suddenly state "Drive Attention Required" and seemed to hit the brakes hard and ignore my inputs. This occurred twice within a week roughly 3 weeks ago. This could have easily caused an accident as the car begins to slow quickly. The issue was not reproduced by the dealer and they claim it was related to a faulty software update (but they never reproduced or had any diagnostics on the issue so I'm not sure how they could claim that). It has not happened after the third reinstall of the software update but it also didn't happen except those two times when the software was apparently faulty so I still believe it could happen at any time. When the software was in a faulty state (which was common with the update and many had the same issues) the car's self driving tech was also semi functional and easy to have the car drive itself without knowing. The car would say "Driver's assistance inactive on the screen" but then drive itself at some unknown speed. I have a video of this. This is super dangerous.

- Parking Assist has failed several times with message "ParkAssist not available. Continued driving possible, Service necessary" - Forward collision warning (aka Warning And Break Assist) has disabled itself several times for no apparent reason with message "WBA Limited, See owners manual". The sensors and windshield was clean so nothing was obstructing the system. - Headline Control error while driving with message "Headline control error. Temporary condition, Continued driving possible". ParkAssist and Forward collision unavailability has been reported to Porsche dealer but they were unable to diagnose or fix it. It seems the car does not record any error codes for the dealer to debug. There was a pending software updated at the time which was installed but the issues happen even after the updated. The issues started from first days of ownership and happen intermittently and stopping and restarting the car always fixes them which probably suggest they are software bugs. After the software update I have experienced an additional issue - Central computer (aka PCM) which controls everything in this car has frozen and restarted which leaves the driver with no ability to control any of the car's settings or systems.

While driving my electric vehicle, I experienced a sudden loss of power. The car abruptly stopped, leaving tire marks on the street, and the steering wheel began shaking. At the same time, an error message appeared on the dashboard, indicating an engine failure and instructing me to pull over immediately for safety. Fortunately, I was driving alone that day and had chosen an alternative residential route, which allowed for slower speeds and less traffic. Had this incident occurred during my usual commute, where I typically travel at least 45 mph on a heavily trafficked three-lane road, the outcome could have been catastrophic. I am certain that the sudden loss of power in such conditions would have led to a serious accident, endangering not only myself but also other road users. The service center required a full week to duplicate the issue. While there were no prior warnings, messages, or symptoms leading up to this event on my car after researching the incident it is clear that this same instance occurred in over 10,000 like kind vehicles under NHTSA recall number 21V-486. This unexpected failure poses a significant safety risk, and I am deeply concerned about the potential for recurrence, especially in less forgiving traffic conditions.

I was charging at a Tesla Supercharge using the OEM Porsche converter and my car experienced a catastrophic electrical fault. The charge completed but the charger was hard to pull out and then my car had battery fault errors and said it needed immediate service. I took it to the dealer and they pulled these error codes and said severage battery componets had failed including a failed high-voltage battery controller, which is mounted on top of the HV battery and the high-voltage booster (which distributes DC voltage). Porsche is not claiming responsibility and presented me a $17k bill to replace. I'm concerned the temp sensors went off and that this could have led to a fire so I wanted to flag to your office. Here are the fault codes provided from Porsche: B192BF0 - High-voltage DC charger (booster) in wrong mode P33E500 - Quick battery charging (DC), Charge stn., initialization error U15AB00 - Quick battery charging (DC), Communication error between vehicle and charging station U15AE00 - Quick battery charging (DC), Charging station communication failure U15B300 - Fast battery charge (DC) – cable testing error P33F000 - High-voltage system activation, Malfunction B1A88F0 - Actuator for right charge port door – travel error U15AC00 - Signal damping log, Malfunction B200000 - Control unit – function restriction U140900 - Internal temperature measurement, Implausible signal

Total electrical shutdown of the drivability of the car. The car in driving traffic came to a sudden stop and doors were lock and would not start until we tried 3 times. A truck behind us had to come to a quick sudden stop to avoid hitting us in the rear of the car! The car was taken to Porsche South bay for understanding the cause of the problem the manufacture was alerted ,Porsche customer care and a case filed. Porsche Service was suppose to report their findings to Customer Care in reference to case file number. They asked me to also bring in the Porsche charging unit to be re-flashed on software in the unit. I have had the car in multiple times for PCM related issues and software updates, during the most recent update they had to replace the entire PCM with a new one. The car was running fine then, then this issue happened. Porsche is continually having issues with this car all related to the PCM, it appear that the car is unsafe and my wife refuses to be in the car. I asked Porsche if they were aware of this problem and they said yes. I asked Porsche for them to look at this car as a Lemon law car, they call this a Buy Back Program. I am still waiting to be told what is next. Porsche is saying the car is safe and has had no accidents, but they know that this car could cause an accident when shutting down with no notice. How is that considered safe? No message appeared till after the car shutdown.

Conditions were clear and dry, with an ambient temperature of approximately 86 degrees F. Time of day was approximately 11:41am, Pacific. I was entering the 73 South onramp from Newport Coast Dr. (Newport Beach, CA 92657), somewhere between 60-70mph in Sport Plus mode, under heavy acceleration (but not full throttle). With no other symptoms or indications, the vehicle suddenly lost motive power and presented the error message “Electrical System Error Park Vehicle in Safe Place.” At that point, the throttle became completely unresponsive and the AC compressor shut off, though other vehicle systems appeared to work normally. I was able to pull over to the shoulder safely, however sudden and complete loss of motive power is very clearly a safety risk when on a highway. In this case, as in the first time this happened, I shut the vehicle off and attempted to restart several times immediately following the initial error message, but the vehicle would not restart. I let the vehicle sit for approximately 10-15 minutes with the power off. At that point, the vehicle was able to be restarted and driven. This is the 3rd time I’ve received such an error and the 3rd time I’ve had the vehicle brought in for service for the same issue since August 2nd. Porsche Cars North America is apparently aware of the issue and has updated my vehicle software and replaced a voltage converter approximately one month ago. Unfortunately, the vehicle seems to still be exhibiting the problem.

I am writing to bring to your urgent attention a recurring and serious issue with my Porsche Taycan (VIN: [XXX] ). On multiple occasions while driving, the vehicle has suddenly lost all power and displayed the error message: "Engine control error. Stop the car in a safe place." When this occurs, the car becomes completely unresponsive and unable to move forward, posing a significant safety risk, especially when it happens in traffic. I am forced to stop, switch off the vehicle, wait for a couple of minutes, and restart it. The error message disappears after restarting, but the issue continues to recur. This has now happened three times in the past two months. I first brought the vehicle to the dealer after the initial incident, and they recommended a software update. However, after the issue reoccurred and I returned to the dealership, they were unable to retrieve any error codes. Despite these efforts, the problem persists. Given the severity of the issue and the risk it poses while driving, I am requesting immediate assistance and a thorough investigation into the root cause of this malfunction. This is not only a mechanical concern but a serious safety issue that requires urgent attention. Please let me know the next steps to have this addressed properly and whether a formal case can be opened for further diagnostics and resolution. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 8, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11745252

My 2020 Porsche Taycan 4S (VIN [XXX]) has a recurring, dangerous brake failure that remains unresolved after multiple dealer repair attempts. At low speed, the automatic emergency braking system activates on its own and begins decelerating the car. As the car slows to roughly 5 mph, the brake pedal drops, braking pressure disappears, and the vehicle keeps rolling forward. Pressing the pedal as hard as I physically can does not bring the car to a stop. On more than 5 occasions I have had to steer around the vehicle in front of me to avoid a collision. The failure is intermittent and unpredictable, which makes it especially hazardous. The problem has existed since early in my ownership. On [XXX] (16,631 miles), Porsche Livermore found multiple brake booster faults and replaced the brake booster assembly, re-bled the brakes, and recoded the PSM control unit (RO [XXX]). The dead-pedal emergency-stop failure continued. I returned on [XXX] (40,904 miles) for the same problem; the dealer recoded the PSM unit and reset the brake pedal value but classified the pedal travel as "normal" (RO [XXX]). I returned again in May 2026 (46,585 miles) reporting that the dead-pedal emergency-stop failure still remained. The dealer could not duplicate it and called it "operating as designed" (RO/Invoice [XXX]). No crash or injury has occurred only because I was able to take evasive action each time. The defect is unresolved and creates a serious risk of a crash, and I am reporting it so it is on the federal safety record. I own a 2020 Porsche Taycan 4S (in service Nov 2, 2020) with a performance+ HV battery. I am currently facing a third round of module replacements. The service chronology and detail is set forth in the attached e-mail I sent to Porsche and the attached service reports. The safety concern I have is that when the defective modules fail, the vehicle suddenly becomes inoperable. The last failure incident in April 2026 resulted in the vehicle blocking in two other vehicles until it could be removed on a flatbed. I simply do not feel safe driving a vehicle that could shut down whenever the next module failure happens. There are 33 modules in the HV battery. 15 have been replaced already and it is clearly an ongoing issue as the vehicle is currently in service for a third round of module replacement after the vehicle shut down only 4 months and less than 2,000 driving miles after the previous module replacement. As a result of my increasing safety concerns, I requested Porsche replace the entire obviously defective HV battery. As set forth in the attached response, it refused to do so, stating that the "path forward remains continued diagnosis and repair in accordance with Porsche’s technical guidelines." My belief, and I know I am not the only one based on my review of Taycan message boards, is that Porsche is slow playing how it addresses what is a clear defect in many HV batteries to get to the end of the 8-year battery warranty by doing periodic piecemeal module replacements and then taking the position that post-warranty module issues are an "aging" problem for which Porsche is not responsible.

STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

71 months

Government / agencyIndexed Oct 8, 2026Source-linkedVerify source — NHTSA complaint #11746390

While driving my Porsche Taycan through a high-speed intersection, the vehicle suddenly displayed battery and chassis system error messages instructing me to pull over immediately. Before I could safely move the vehicle to the side of the road, it completely lost propulsion, speed control, and steering capability, causing the vehicle to abruptly slow to 0 mph in active traffic and leaving me stranded in the middle of the roadway. This created an immediate safety hazard, as approaching vehicles nearly collided with my car because it effectively performed an unexpected emergency stop without warning. Approximately one month earlier, the vehicle experienced the exact same failure while parked, displaying battery and chassis errors and losing power and steering functionality. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Porsche dealership, where it remained for approximately one month; however, the dealer was unable to diagnose the problem and returned the vehicle to me, stating that no fault could be found. Just two days after the vehicle was returned, the identical failure occurred again while I was driving. After restarting the vehicle multiple times at the roadside, I was eventually able to move it to a safer location, where it failed again shortly thereafter. The vehicle is currently at the Porsche dealership and is available for inspection. The dealership has indicated that the issue may be related to the high-voltage battery but has not yet identified the root cause or completed repairs. The only prior warning of this defect was the nearly identical battery and chassis system failure that occurred approximately one month before this incident.

On March 30, 2023 I had my winter tires and wheels changed out for my summer tires and wheels Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 in sizes 265/35ZR21 101Y XLand 305/30ZR21 104Y XL. At the time, I had about 25,000 miles on the car, and perhaps 15,000 miles on the summer tires. The tire inspection report from Porsche indicated that I had acceptable tread depth on all tires, and no unusual treadwear. Around the end of June I started seeing a very slow pressure decrease in my left rear tire, from about 41psi to 38 psi over a few weeks. On July 18, I experienced a severe drop in pressure to 22 psi and I filled the tire with air to 45psi and used the tire sealant to drive the car to the Porsche dealer, and arrived with 29psi. At no point during the time I had the summer tires on did I ever do anything unusual, or hit any road hazards. Porsche provided me the attached video showing severe cracking between the sidewall and tread around the entire diameter of the drivers side rear, and cracking around part of the diameter of the passenger rear. They claimed this was due to 'misalignment' of the rear tires. The alignment report (attached) shows the drivers rear was within specification, and the passenger rear was 0.2 degrees out of camber (-1.8 deg vs spec of -1.6 deg). There was still 4mm of tread on the tire, and no unusual tread wear was noted on any tires. I have replaced all 4 tires, and am very concerned that the same thing may happen, and I could have a catastrophic failure at high speed. Porsche is unwilling to do anything other than pay for the drivers tire. I don't see how I can be assured that the exact same thing won't happen in the future, since there was no testing or observation that Porsche did that indicated any kind of problem.

Three NHTSA safety recalls are open and unremedied on my 2020 Porsche Taycan 4S: 25V896 (high-voltage battery — cell-module short circuit / fire risk), 24V732 (battery inspection, cell-module replacement, software update), and 24V455 (front brake hoses — cracking and brake-fluid leakage). Open status is confirmed by the manufacturer's own lookup at [XXX] as of XXX. The recalls cannot be completed because the manufacturer's authorized network refuses to confirm or schedule the work. The vehicle originated in the US and is now registered in [XXX]. In December 2025 the authorized dealer (Winner Porsche Center Kyiv Airport) refused, stating recalls are performed only for vehicles originally sold on the local market. I escalated to Porsche AG in XXX; the case was reviewed by Porsche Central and Eastern Europe and the official importer. After inspecting the vehicle in XXX, the dealer tried to condition recall work on my acceptance of unrelated paid repairs, and in XXX stated in writing that it reserves the right to refuse manufacturer campaigns due to "existing defects," without identifying any technical dependency between the cited findings and the recall work (brake-hose replacement and battery inspection/software are unaffected). A final written request with a 10-business-day deadline expired in XXX with no response from any Porsche entity. Safety risk: a battery fire risk and reduced front-brake performance remain unremedied on a vehicle in regular daily use. No warning lamps or symptoms; the risk arises from the unrepaired recall defects themselves. The refusal is confirmed in the dealer's written statements and documented in correspondence with Porsche AG, available on request. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle experiences a sudden and dangerous malfunction while driving. Without any prior warning, the vehicle begins to shake and then immediately brakes on its own, coming to an abrupt stop in the middle of traffic. Only after the vehicle has already braked and shut down does an “Engine Control Error” message appear on the display. There is no advance alert and no time for the driver to react or move out of traffic. This is exceptionally concerning especially as this vehicle was being used a primary mode of transportation for my 2 young toddlers who were present in the vehicle during these failures. The vehicle was purchased directly from Porsche as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle in June 2025, and was represented by Porsche as having passed all safety and mechanical inspections at the time of purchase. Despite this, the vehicle has continued to experience catastrophic failures. Following the initial shutdown incident, the vehicle was towed to Porsche for service on September 2. Porsche stated that the issue had been repaired and assured that the vehicle was safe to operate. However, on September 29, the same failure occurred again. The vehicle shook, abruptly braked in active traffic, shut itself down, and only then displayed the engine control failure message. This shows that the underlying defect was not corrected and continues to pose a serious safety hazard. The problem is severe, unpredictable, and reproducible. It places the driver, passengers, and surrounding motorists at immediate risk because the vehicle becomes immobilized in traffic with no prior warning and no ability to pull over safely. The vehicle has been inspected by Porsche technicians, but the root cause remains unknown, and Porsche has been unable to provide a successful repair or assurance of safety. This pattern strongly indicates a critical defect in the engine control or power-management system that renders the vehicle unsafe for public road use.

Component/system: High-voltage (HV) battery system and power electronics. 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo, VIN [XXX] . Vehicle available for inspection. Safety risk: Since January 2025, the vehicle has repeatedly displayed a "pull over and park safely" emergency warning and shut off unexpectedly while driving at highway and surface road speeds. Sudden loss of propulsion at speed created serious collision risk. Dealer-confirmed: Porsche Woodland Hills documented (July 2025): "vehicle just shut off on him as he was driving — multiple occurrences." A second shutdown was confirmed August 2025: "vehicle shut off while driving — high voltage battery error." Four or more repair visits under my ownership for this same defect. Fault codes confirmed by authorized Porsche dealers: P0AA600 (HV Battery Voltage System Isolation Fault — highest severity), P0A4000 (Rotor Position Sensor Fault), U178800 (Front Axle Power Electronics Drive Fault), P061B00 (Torque Calculation Fault). November 2025: Porsche Downtown LA isolated all 33 battery modules, found modules 6, 19, and 32 defective — all physically replaced. Vehicle out of service 9+ weeks. Shutdown warning recurred during same visit. Porsche NA (Case #XXX) denied repurchase. Warning lamps: "Pull over and park safely" warning and HV battery error appeared suddenly before each shutdown.
